For many years up till some 20 years ago, it was a port of Sydney and many of the wharves are now changed into expensive apartments. Back in the Great Depression, Hickson Road was called the Hungry Mile because labourers would line up every day looking for work. There’s a few stair cases leading up to the hillside of Sydney. But you can see that this set has beenĀ bricked up. Hungary Mile The site has been renamed Barangaroo and it is slowly transforming into a mini business district with many tall commercial buildings and some residential buildings, which are catered for the rich.
